ICLEI South America is calling its members to the 2026 ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY, to be held in a hybrid format on June 23, 2026, at 2:30 PM (Brasilia time).

The meeting will be held in person at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), located at Avenida Ipiranga, nº 6681, building 41, Partenon neighborhood, CEP 90619-900, Porto Alegre/RS, with remote participation permitted via the Zoom platform using the following: link.

For attendance and voting purposes, all participating members are requested to confirm their attendance via the following method. link.

The following items are on the agenda:

1. Presentation of the New ICLEI South America and ICLEI Brazil Steering Structure;
2. Approval of the financial statements for the fiscal year 2025; 
3. Reorganization of the structure of the Board of Directors and the Advisory Board;
4. Approval of the creation of the Scientific Committee and the Youth Committee;
5. Presentation of the 2025 Annual Institutional Report and the institutional strategy for 2026 and 2027;
6. Presentation of institutional projects and strategic partners:
7. Other matters of institutional interest.

Members will be represented by their respective legal representatives, or by a duly appointed proxy. For public entities, the legal representatives are considered to be the Municipal Mayor or the State Governor. ICLEI South America provides a proxy form here. link.

According to the Articles of Association of ICLEI South America:

1. Each member is entitled to one vote in the General Assembly (article 10, paragraph 1);
2. Virtual participation by members will be permitted, including the exercise of the right to vote, through a link that will be sent after confirmation (article 11, paragraph 3);
3. The General Assembly will be established by the presence of a simple majority of the Associates, with the use of proxies being permitted for representation and virtual participation, and, in a second call, by any number (article 13).
