This guide provides local governments in Latin America with concrete tools that can facilitate the transition to circular food systems in cities, from stakeholder engagement to the design of effective public policies.

This guide is based on the experiences of the ICLEI network and its path towards Circular Development, the experiences of the CityFood Program, and projects developed by ICLEI with its member and non-member cities in partnership with leading institutions, as well as the best practices of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact. This publication is intended for public administrations in Latin America and the Caribbean. ICLEI and FAO worked together to adapt this guide to the regional context.
