Activity Report 2019

Year: 2019

Produced by: ICLEI South America

The document compiles the main actions and results of ICLEI South America last year and reinforces the organization's strategic vision for the urban era. In 2019, ICLEI South America worked with 80 member governments, 55 of which accessed support offers and 68 benefited from cooperation projects. Throughout the year, ICLEI South America held 44 events.

“One of the cross-cutting premises for good governance in the 21st century, especially public governance, is that it be multi-level. ICLEI is one of the organizations that has in its DNA the mission of leading multi-level coordination in the regions where it operates,” points out the organization's executive secretary, Rodrigo Perpétuo, who signs an analytical text in the report, as do Geraldo Júlio, mayor of Recife and current president of the ICLEI South America Regional Executive Committee (RexCom), and Pedro Jacobi, president of the Board of Directors.

The publication also includes an overview of completed projects, communication initiatives, and a financial report.

“We are sharing the organization’s results from 2019, aware of our mission to work alongside local governments on the new challenges of (re)building better cities and states to live in,” highlights Rodrigo Perpétuo.
