The management experience of the Yunguilla Ecological Area for Conservation and Sustainable Use (ACUS), managed within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Yunguilla company and the Metropolitan District of Quito (DMQ), is part of the environmental management model promoted by the local government, whose vision is that conservation areas should be managed by local communities, responsible for integrating the environmental variable into their development strategies.
