Climate Compliance of the State of Rio Grande do Sul – Final Report 2025
The mapping translates the economic and productive complexity of Rio Grande do Sul into scientific and territorially-based data, mapping the emissions of five key chains: Petrochemicals, Forestry, Soybeans, Rice, and Cattle Farming.
With reliable metrics, it moves from generic approaches to an evidence-based mitigation agenda, supporting public policies, climate finance, and technological innovation.
Integrated into the state's Climate Compliance program, conducted with ICLEI, the study forms part of a set of initiatives—along with the GHG Inventory and the Climate Risk and Vulnerability Analysis—that will underpin the Climate Action Plan and consolidate the state's commitment to the transition to a resilient, low-carbon economy.
