Prepared within the scope of the Amazon for Climate project, this report provides an overview of the climate agenda in the Brazilian Legal Amazon region based on research in secondary and primary sources on: existing climate policies, instruments and projects in the nine capitals; actors present in the local and regional climate agenda; sources and opportunities for accessing resources to finance local climate action.
The starting point is to reconstruct the region's profile based on relevant socioeconomic information associated with factors of vulnerability to climate change and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated in Amazonian territories.
