The good news is that the institution, which has more than 2,500 associated governments around the world, has chosen Brazil to host the next edition of the event. From June 19th to 21st, 2024, São Paulo will welcome mayors, municipal secretaries, governors, representatives of international organizations, academia, the private sector, development banks, and civil society, all engaged with key global development agendas, considering essential topics such as Climate Change, Biodiversity, Environmental Conservation, as well as Green Finance and Sustainable Investments. The program includes high-level debates, thematic workshops, and technical visits. More than 3,000 participants are expected.

The last ICLEI World Congress took place in 2022 in Malmö, Sweden.

The upcoming meeting in Brazil is an opportunity for the ICLEI network and its partners to come together to shape the future of sustainability in urban areas.
