The Project ‘'Sustainable Procurement through Innovation and a Green and Inclusive Economy'’ The Green Public Procurement for Innovation and Green Growth initiative, which was supported by the British Embassy in Brasília and implemented by ICLEI South America, concluded earlier this year and offers various support products to ICLEI Members. The initiative's activities began in 2013.

The beneficiaries of the Project were the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management (MP) and the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade (MDIC). The Project also had the support of ICLEI Europe – Global Centre for Sustainable Procurement.

Check out the main products and activities developed during the Project:

• General Report on Guidelines for Sustainable Logistics Management Plans (IN MP/SLTI No. 10/2012) prepared for the Ministry of Planning.

• Support report for the implementation of the MDIC's Sustainable Logistics Management Plan, with technical studies on carbon footprint: printed and digital document and printing service.

• Training sessions and presentations in Brasilia

• International technical visit to the United Kingdom to share experiences on green economy and innovation. 

• Update to the Federal Government's Sustainable Public Procurement Portal, including a collaborative forum for exchanging information on the topic: http://cpsustentaveis.planejamento.gov.br/

• MANUAL PROCURA+ GUIDE FOR IMPLEMENTING SUSTAINABLE PUBLIC PROCUREMENT – New edition of the Manual adapted to the Brazilian context.
