This Executive Summary presents the main results of the Porto Alegre Climate Action Plan (PLAC), developed over eighteen months, between 2023 and 2024. The PLAC was created so that the city can realize its climate ambitions through strategies, actions, and practical projects. It serves as a foundational instrument upon which the city's commitments to achieving carbon neutrality in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 2050 and to adapting to the impacts of climate events are established.
