Project description: The Strengthening Capacities: Building Pipelines for Urban Climate Resilience Projects in the Amazon project supports Amazonian cities in strengthening their capacities to structure climate resilience projects and expand access to climate finance opportunities.

This initiative addresses the challenges faced by local governments in the Amazon in transforming territorial priorities into projects eligible for investment. These challenges include technical limitations in developing fundable proposals, the complexity of climate finance mechanisms, and difficulties with institutional coordination and governance.

Through a hands-on learning journey, the project offers training in a virtual environment, live sessions, and specialized mentoring, providing tools and methodologies for structuring projects, developing theories of change, defining indicators, creating risk matrices, and identifying funding opportunities. The initiative seeks to strengthen local capacities, promote the replicability of developed methodologies, and support the construction of a portfolio of climate resilience projects for Amazonian cities.

• Virtual Learning Environment (VLE);

• Development of theory of change, indicators and logical frameworks;

• Cooperation and exchange between Amazonian cities.
