The document starts from the recognition that cities are at the forefront of the climate crisis — and also of the solutions — and that food systems are one of the main vectors of both impact and transformation. Bringing together data, analysis, and recommendations, the material presents ways to strengthen local food policies with a systemic vision, combining the fight against hunger, climate adaptation, and environmental conservation. It also highlights experiences of local governments coordinated by LUPPA, showing that caring for food is also caring for life, the territory, and the future of the planet.
