This document presents a summary of the results obtained from the Climate Risk and Vulnerability Analysis (CRVA) of Belém, as part of the Nature-Based Cities: Biodiversity and Climate Resilience for Urban Development Project (NBCities), implemented by ICLEI South America and funded by the Global Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Fund. The NBCities project aimed to promote the integration of biodiversity conservation and climate action agendas into the local policies of the city of Belém, Pará.
The CRVA consists of the analysis of the set of climate hazards and the elements of exposure and vulnerability within the municipal territory. It contributes to guiding the development of responsive public policies and investments that minimize the risks identified in the city, supporting the construction of a structure that is resilient to the impacts of climate change.
