This document presents a summary of the 1st Inventory of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals in Santo André, covering the period from 2018 to 2022, and aims to initiate the city's journey to address climate change, as well as to provide a basis for the development of relevant public policies. The document presents data on greenhouse gas emissions, namely: carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH₄), and nitrous oxide (N2O) in the Santo André territory. It is of paramount importance for the public authorities to gather this information for the development of public policies to address climate change. This study will make it possible to understand the main sources of emissions in the municipality and create a common vision of the efforts needed to make Santo André resilient and low-emission.
