The city of Curitiba, The capital of Paraná, held a seat on the Regional Executive Committee for South America (RexCom), the network's highest body, during the 2018-2021 term, and represented ICLEI members in the region.

Since joining the Network, she has been part of the Urban-LEDS project, is a member of the Action Fund initiative (a partnership between Google.org and ICLEI), and works on the development and implementation of a Climate Action Plan. 

The city also participated in important events related to the climate agenda, such as COP23 and the Congress of Resilient Cities, both in Bonn, Germany; the Ecomobility Congress, in the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan; and is committed to the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy.

In 2021, we were delighted to share our collaborative work within the Action Fund Brazil project, which will continue to be developed throughout 2022, with the goal of promoting the replicability and implementation of projects that enhance sustainable urban development. 

We reaffirm our joy in sharing the joint work within the Action Fund Brazil project, which will continue to be developed during 2022, with the objective of promoting the replicability and implementation of projects that increase sustainable urban development. In 2021, Curitiba continued developing activities within the CityFOOD sub-network and the Independent Dialogue on Food Systems in Latin American Cities, carried out in partnership with the FAO. Furthermore, it became a mentor for the Urban Laboratory of Public Food Policies.
