As part of its journey towards sustainability through ICLEI, the city of Ibagué, Colombia, was selected to participate in the Urban-LEDS II project. The municipality has participated in several international events focused on urban sustainability.

Similarly, Ibagué's membership in the ICLEI Network has allowed it to participate in various dialogues with other Colombian cities, such as Cartagena and Cali.
