As part of the preparatory actions for the 2nd ICLEI Southeast Regional Meeting, ICLEI South America and the Municipality of Campinas are launching the public call “Climate Collective Action”. The initiative aims to identify, value and strengthen Youth-led projects, focusing on Climate change adaptation and building resilience in territories.
Inspired by the second letter from the COP Presidency, the call for proposals invites young people, collectives, associations, or educational institutions active in Campinas to present actions that respond to the impacts of climate at a local level. These initiatives will serve as examples of self-determined contributions, a concept introduced in the second letter from the COP Presidency, which proposes local, voluntary actions that complement Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), connecting global goals to the realities of territories – especially to the experiences and challenges faced by young people.
Registration for the public notice is free and must be made via an online form by 6 June 2025. The three best will be awarded during the programme of the 2nd ICLEI Southeast Regional Meeting, which will take place in Campinas on the days 11 to 13 June 2025.
This is an opportunity to giving visibility to transformative solutions led by young people, which reflect the knowledge, diversity, and power of local communities in the face of the climate crisis. Take part!
