As part of the preparatory actions for the Atlantic Forest Conference, ICLEI South America and the Municipality of Curitiba, with the support of the State of Paraná, are launching the public call “Climate Collective Action”. The initiative aims to identify, value and strengthen Youth-led projects, focusing on Climate change adaptation and building resilience in territories.
Inspired by the COP Presidency's second letter, the call for applications invites Youth collectives and schools from Curitiba to present actions that respond to the impacts of climate on a local scale. These initiatives will Examples of self-determined contributions, concept presented in Second letter from the COP Presidency, which proposes local, voluntary actions that complement Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), connecting global goals to the reality of territories — especially to the experiences and challenges faced by youth.
Registration for the public notice is free and must be made via an online form by 18 August 2025. The three best will be awarded during the Atlantic Forest Conference programme, which will take place in Curitiba on the days 19 to 21 August 2025.
This is an opportunity to giving visibility to transformative solutions led by young people, which reflect the knowledge, diversity, and power of local communities in the face of the climate crisis. Take part!
