O MonitoraPLAC It is a digital platform developed by ICLEI in partnership with the Municipality of Itabirito to structure the systematic monitoring of Climate Action Plan (CAP) of the municipality – the first in Brazil to develop the Compact Climate Compliance with ICLEI.

The tool transforms climate planning into continuous and measurable management, integrating the monitoring of goals, deadlines, institutional stakeholders, and performance indicators into a single interface. The model is designed as a replicable reference for other municipalities seeking to move from plan to action in a transparent and effective way.

Products developed:

• The MonitoraPLAC platform, currently under construction, will be used to monitor the Climate Action Plan.;
• Integrated system for monitoring goals, indicators, and schedules;
• Climate management and transparency tools for municipal administration;
• Structure for monitoring institutional stakeholders by action;
• Periodic reports on the implementation and evaluation of the PLAC;
• New round of the program ICLEI Innovation in Itabirito.

Key results:

• Structuring the first local climate monitoring system based on indicators in a small municipality in Brazil;
• Strengthening municipal climate governance and the technical capacity of the administration;
• Integration between strategic planning and implementation of climate policies;
