Since becoming a member of ICLEI, the city La Paz, in Bolivia, has participated in various events on climate change.

Besides COP21 (2015) in Paris, France, he also attended the Resilient Cities Congress and COP23, both held in Bonn, Germany, the ICLEI World Congress in Montreal, Canada, and COP25, held in Madrid, Spain.
