In the same year, he also committed to Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, and participated through the Secretariat. Municipal Environment Committee, from the Conference on Biodiversity Conservation at the Local Level: Experiences with Local Protected Areas in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, held in Quito (Ecuador), within the framework of the Local Protected Areas project. 

It also hosted and supported the organization of the Minas Gerais edition of the event "Brazil that cares for its waters: Building the Foundations for the National Program for the Revitalization of Hydrographic Basins," in partnership with the Ministry of the Environment and the Espinhaço Institute.
