Boa Vista, Boa Vista, the capital of Roraima, joined the ICLEI Network in December 2022 with the aim of seeking partnerships and knowledge to transform it into the most sustainable city in the northern region of Brazil.

Located in the Legal Amazon, it is the only Brazilian capital entirely above the Equator line and has over 430,000 inhabitants. For Boa Vista, which is implementing the Municipal Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan, ICLEI is a strategic partner in accelerating its sustainable development path, with innovative solutions and a commitment to reducing environmental impacts.

Boa Vista's anniversary is celebrated on 9th July.
