Clever Cities was an initiative focused on the co-creation and co-implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to improve urban quality of life and strengthen urban resilience. In Latin America, the project was implemented in the city of Quito, specifically in the San Enrique de Velasco neighborhood in the north of the city, which served as a pilot NbS neighborhood with the potential for replication at the local and regional levels. The project promoted participatory processes with local stakeholders and strengthened technical capacities for integrating NbS into urban planning.
