Promoting decarbonization and climate resilience by identifying priority urban challenges and linking technological and sustainable solutions from UK and Latin American startups with local governments in participating cities.
Components:
- Urban-climatic diagnosis and analysis, through applied research, development of baselines, analysis of existing regulatory frameworks and policies, mapping of actors and governance structures, and identification of priority climate challenges, risks and vulnerabilities in participating cities.
- Co-creation of solutions and capacity building, through technical workshops, evaluation of innovative solutions, integrated climate and urban risk analysis, and support for the definition of pilot tests and roadmaps for adaptation and decarbonization at the local level.
- Networks, strategic alliances and inter-municipal cooperation, aimed at disseminating results, exchanging experiences among peers within the ICLEI network, and strengthening regional cooperation for scaling up urban climate solutions.
